Il papillon o cravatta a farfalla, ha origine nell’ esercito croato del ‘600, perchè i soldati croati usavano un fiocco per abbottonare il colletto della camicia. Nei secoli si diffuse in tutta Europa fino a prendere una forma piu’ rigida che appunto ricorda una farfalla stilizzata , come lo conosciamo noi oggi. E’ stato per molto tempo l’ accessorio di intellettuali e anarchici, artisti, ma in Italia lo associamo soprattutto alla completo frac per le grandi serate di gala e all’ abbigliamento tipicamente inglese. Tra i nostri irriducibili del papillon abbiamo il giornalista Roberto Gervaso con la sua collezione di papillon giganti, mentre all’ estero si fa notare il designer Alber Elbaz. Tra le ragazze col papillon di ieri la mitica Lady D, mentre oggi un altra inglese di rango, Cara Delevigne o un altra bellissima come Camilla Belle. Oggi, da quanto vedo su Instagram, il papillon vive un grande ritorno nella moda come accessorio unisex tutto da rivivere indossandolo in maniera ironica, accostato a pezzi basici come tshirt e jeans, tant’è che alla fine anche io ho scelto il mio papillon che presto mi vedrete indossare :) Fa parte della collezione di Akuto che presenta anche bretelle e porchette da taschino per rivivere la classicità di un accessorio con un design essenziale e curato. Papillons come from the far past, during the "30 years war" of '600, the croatian soldiers were used to close their shirts with a ribbon and in the following centuries that ribbons had became the papillons we know nowadays with the typical butterfly shapes. For a long time, papillon has been the symbols of intellectual people, architects, anarchics. In Italy we usually identify papillons as symbol of gala events and typical english style. Among the people who love papillons, in Italy we have the famous journalist Roberto Gervaso with big and colorful papillons, in France there are Alber Elbaz and Karl Lagerfeld. Among the girls who love papillons look at the beautiful Cara Delevigne and Camilla Belle. Today, on Instagram and on streetstyle websites, we see a great revival of papillons worn also with sporty and basic items as t-shirts and jeans. Papillons looks very nice both on men and women , so there are now brands who dedicate their collections to this accessory projected to be versatile, elegant and modern. I've recently chosen my papillon from the italian collection Akuto, who present an essential design in colors as red, green, brown, cream, black, and prints as pois. The result is awesome!
